Candidate must hold or be able to qualify for and obtain proper vocational certification as required by the PA Dept. of Education for CIP 46.0399.

Description: SUN Area Technical Institute is in need of substitute teachers in the following areas: Carpentry, Electrical Systems, HVAC & Plumbing, Masonry, Cosmetology, Dental Sciences, Food Service, Health Professions & Related Sciences, Cabinet/Wood Technology, Drafting CAD, Machine Tool, Welding, Auto Mechanics, Collision Repair, Diesel Mechanics, Computer Sciences, Electronics Technology, and Advertising Art & Design.
Requirements: Teaching Certification is not required to substitute; but a good knowledge of the trade or technical area is recommended. Send a letter of interest and a resumé to Dennis Hain, Administrative Director, 815 East Market St., New Berlin, PA 17855-0527. An Act 34 Criminal Background Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Check, and an Act 114 Federal Criminal History Report are required. Each background check requires a processing fee, which is the responsibility of the applicant.
