SUN AREA CAREER & TECHNOLOGY CENTER
has opened training opportunities in various areas of
vocational-technical education to area adults. These areas of
instruction will be open to adults during the regular daytime hours.
Residents of the sponsoring school districts will be given first
priority on the available openings in the PrimeTime Adult Program
(PTA). Sponsoring school districts include: Lewisburg, Midd-West,
Mifflinburg, Selinsgrove, and Shikellamy.
A student
enrolled as a fulltime student will be guaranteed a complete
program of studies when starting at the beginning of the school
year (August) and attending through the end of the school year
(June). A fulltime student will attend five days per week, 5.5
hours each day per the approved school calendar. Students not
enrolled as a fulltime student are considered customized
training students. Customized training students are not
guaranteed enrollment beyond their current contract term. All
daytime adults must have a high school diploma or have
successfully completed a GED program.

Funding
Tuition costs can be
paid by the student, employers or various governmental agencies.
Specialized funding programs for businesses and industries are also

Six Step Plan
-
Complete a prior
enrollment questionnaire and provide copy of high school diploma or
GED.

The school will
schedule a pre-enrollment interview to assist you in determining your
needs and to plan you course selection.

Student selects
occupational area.

Student meets with
school guidance personnel and instructor(s). A training plan
will be developed which will include the program length, days of
attendance, competencies and cost.

Tuition costs will be
explained. The school year is divided into four terms; each term
is paid for prior to the first day.

orientation.
