SUN Area Technical Institute sent four students to the Susquehanna Valley Country Club for a day of learning business skills sponsored by Economics Pennsylvania. The business mentors discussed topics including target markets, supply and demand, identifying competitors, sale territories and start-up costs for a business. Professors of Business from Bloomsburg University led each of these topics.

Carolyn Shirk, Economics Pennsylvania Representative kick started the day by addressing the need for a business plan and identified awards given to winners of the Economics Pennsylvania Entrepreneurial Challenge. Attending high schools were Shikellamy, Loyalsock, Danville, SUN Area Technical Institute, Midd-West, Milton, Newport, Greenwood, Lewisburg, Montgomery, Mansfield, Mt. Carmel, Cumberland Valley, Mifflinburg,  and Selinsgrove.
