Academic Prerequisites
Knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous for the student but not necessarily required:
- Chemistry
- Communication Skills
- Business Skills
- Principles of Art and Design
- Basic Math (including Geometry)
The major key ingredients to success in the Cosmetology program are:
- Self Motivation
- Enthusiasm for learning, growing and expanding knowledge and skills both professionally and personally.
- A desire to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to set clearly defined career goals and a desire to obtain those goals.
- Good attendance.
