 Although
there are no prerequisites for entrance into the Dental Health
Technology program at SUN Tech, it is strongly recommended that the
student posses good verbal and written communication, strong math
skills, and flexible personality traits.
Education strives to change the behavior of the student. The
training program for dental assistants must provide the opportunity
for the student to acquire a code of professional behavior and
proficiencies necessary to function as a member of the dental health
team. Dentistry is a constantly changing profession; therefore, it is
essential that the curriculum will be kept flexible so that new
concepts may be included. It is a goal of the staff to keep the
program of study one that will be constantly evaluated and improved.
