Drafting CAD Technology

Rapid Prototyping Machine used to construct physical objects from AutoCAD project files in Drafting CAD Technology The Computer Aided Drafting program prepares students for entry into the workforce as Drafting/CAD operators, both Mechanical and Architectural. Students learn the principles of Drafting, specific Mechanical and Architectural symbols, and graphical representation by using the industry standard AutoCAD 2010 CAD software program. Hands-on training is the focus of the program, with practical workbook-type projects to reemphasize the theory learning process.

College Credits Available through Penn College of Technology

Drafting CAD Technology students may achieve up to 9.0 college credits for Mechanical Drafting and 3.0 college credits for Architectural Drafting at Penn College of Technology while enrolled at SUN Area Technical Institute. The students meet entrance qualifications to achieve the college level courses.
