The Drafting/CAD program prepares students for entry into
the workforce as Drafting/CAD operators, both Mechanical and
Architectural. Students learn the principles of Drafting, specific
Mechanical and Architectural symbols, and graphical representation by
using the industry standard AutoCAD 2000 CAD software program.
Hands-on training is the focus of the program, with practical
workbook-type projects to reemphasize the theory learning process.
**New** beginning in March 2001, the students will be
exposed to a CNC Desktop Milling Machine which will be used to
demonstrate the connectivity between CAD and CNC Programming.
