Academic Prerequisites
Knowledge in the following areas would be to he student's advantage, but all areas are not required: Introduction to Drafting and/or CAD (Mechanical or Architectural), mechanical experience (building, constructing, assembly), experience with construction details, experience with a personal computer, algebra, and basic geometry.
The major determinants of success in the Drafting CAD program is for the student to have a well defined career goal, ability to draw and illustrate details, good visualization skills, retain specification details, enjoy math and working in a controlled environment such as an office.
