The Masonry Construction
Program at SUN Area Career & Technology Center prepares graduates
for job entry skills with intense education in Brick/Block , Concrete,
Stone, Tile and Stucco Masonry. Students learn the skills, principles,
technologies and building techniques of residential and commercial
construction. The curriculum is individualized and emphasizes hands on
skill development, layout, blueprint reading, construction materials,
construction methods, cost projections and estimates, project
management, construction safety and VICA student organizations and
leadership development.
The Masonry Construction
Program offers all qualified students co-op release in the third
quarter and offers the opportunity to advance into post-secondary
education into building construction management, vocational
instructor, estimator, draftsperson or architectural design.

from $13.50 to $ 48.75 per hour plus benefits and pension plans.

requires a high degree of skilled training. Advancement into supervision requires post
secondary training and high levels of technical training.
