The Police, Corrections, and Security Sciences program at SUN Area Technical Institute offers students the opportunity to explore many different criminal justice careers. This program offers students hands-on training in the use of law enforcement practices, such as: vehicle stops, building searches, handcuffing, crime scene investigation, report writing, and radio operations.

Students in the Police, Corrections, and Security Sciences program will work throughout the year to complete a number of certificates to increase their opportunities for employment. Upon graduation, students will have certifications in HAZMAT R & I, FEMA IS 100, 200, and 700, APCO-Public Safety Telecommunicator 1, CPR, First Responder, and Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness level training through the Office of Homeland Security.
