Attendance Guidelines

Less absenteeism equals more learning opportunities for more career competitiveness. Industry would rather pay overtime to good employees than keep bad employees. SUN TECH is not a correspondence center; attendance is required.

Since you are enrolled in a concentrated program, it is extremely important that absences be minimized. All students who have been absent, must upon their return to school, report to the Office to obtain an admittance slip signed by the Attendance Officer, to be given to their teacher. No student shall be admitted following an absence without an admittance slip. Parents/Guardians will be notified by mail of excessive absences at seven, twelve, twenty-one, and twenty-eight days absent and at three days unexcused.

Excessive absenteeism can result in Career Enhancement, suspension from school, loss of driving privileges, and eventually to the loss of your program Certificate. It is the responsibility of the student to request make-up work from their instructor the first day back in school and complete all make-up work in order to receive credit.
