Employment Requirements Checklist

  1. Process Act 151 Child Abuse Check. Applicants now have two options when applying for the Child Abuse Report.
    Option 1 – Electronic Application Submission: Click here to apply for the clearance online and pay the $10 fee via credit card. Creating an account and submitting your clearance application online will give you immediate access to your results, or the status of your results, if your results cannot be processed immediately. Please make sure to print a copy for your records.   Option 2 – Paper Application Submission: Print the application and complete Section No. 1 of Form CY-113. Mail your completed application, along with a $10 money order, to: ChildLine and Abuse Registry

    Harrisburg, PA 17105-8170                                                                                                                                                                                                                            It will take about one month for the form to be processed and results returned to you.
  2. Process, using service code 1KG6NX, Act 114 Federal Criminal History Report
  3. Act 34 – The Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (Fee: $22)
    The Pa. State Police use a web-based computer application for which you must use a credit card to pay the fee. The results will not be mailed. You must return to the ePatch site and print your criminal history check results.
  4. Complete the Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training.  Print the Certificate of Completion.
  5. Submit resumé, pre-employment application, and the 4 reports listed above to:

Temporary Evening Custodian

The SUN Area Technical Institute is accepting applications for a full time, temporary evening custodian.

The candidate should possess a minimum of a high school diploma.

Send letter of interest and resume, by the January 14, 2019 deadline, to Jennifer Hain, Director, 815 E. Market St., New Berlin, PA  17855.

Successful candidate will be required to submit all required clearances.

Substitute Teachers

The SUN Area Technical Institute is in need of day-to-day substitute teachers! WORK WHEN YOU WANT

Day-to-day substitute teachers are called to work with students when the regular teacher is not available due to approved conferences, illness, etc. Ordinarily, you will be provided with daily lesson plans. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Rate of Pay: $100.00 per day.
To substitute in technical areas, individuals are required to have experience in the trade area and a high school diploma or GED. A college education is NOT required! Approved substitutes must be able to provide valid Act 34 (State Police), Act 151 (Child Abuse), and FBI Fingerprint Clearances prior to the first day of employment.

Substitute Employees (Custodial and Cafeteria)
